Hello again!
It has been a while since we have posted… we apologize! We have been so busy with setting up the program and these first few weeks have really been exciting!
It was amazing how well everything came together. After we received approval, it was no time until we had all of our supplies and were ready for our first day. All of the participants have been wonderful. In just a few short sessions we have noticed a significant improvement in their employment documents and we have already lined up a few jobs for two of our members. We can really see the appreciation in the eyes of each of the young men – it is truly incredible!
With just a few short weeks left we plan to work on polishing the cover letters and setting up a few mock interviews for practice. Of course, we will also continue researching career opportunities for these individuals upon release. Although we have come far, there is still much to do. We cannot say enough how thankful we are for your continued support through everything. We also appreciate the feedback you all have given and we hope that each of your questions has been answered.
We hope that this program serves as a model for other programs throughout the United States. We will inform you on all of the events during these final weeks very soon!
