Hi, everyone!
As promised, we are here to keep you updated on our organization, English 304 Community Education and its newest project Writing Against Recidivism!
Well, great news! We have just found out that we have been approved by the Human Fund for the $5,000 grant requested for the prison education program. It has been a very long process and we are so thankful for the support of all of our staff, volunteers, and community. This would not have been possible without you all, and we are incredibly grateful.
With the funding provided we will be able to purchase six brand-new Dell laptops, a high quality printer, and all of the office supplies needed to produce the best possible learning experience for our participants. By helping these individuals we not only aim to assist in their job search, but also to provide them with opportunities to prevent them from re-entering into a life of crime.
We are so excited to begin our program at the Kennedy Center! We will provide you with news and updates on all that is going on. We still have a long way to go and ask for your continued support in all that we do!
By the way, here is a picture of the laptops we have selected. Thank you, Dell!
