Welcome, All!

Hi everyone!

First of all, we would like to thank you for showing your support by being here. At English 304 Community Education we value each of our volunteers and supporters and we want to keep you up-to-date on everything that is going on within the organization. It has been a very busy few months!
As many of you know, we have recently requested grant approval from the Human Fund in order to benefit our prison education program, Writing Against Recidivism! at the Kennedy Center in Morgantown, West Virginia. As we await a response we would like to introduce you to the program a bit.

Writing Against Recidivism! is a 6-week program taught by a retired economics professor of West Virginia University. Our goal is to teach qualifying inmates the necessary skills for resume and cover letter building, along with enhance their ability in career researching and interviewing. We hope that each of our participants is employed within six months following the course. Although our goals are high, we are confident in our ability to succeed!

As we await the decision of our friends at the Human Fund we appreciate all of your concern. We would certainly appreciate any feedback or tips on any aspect of this program, from the course itself to enhancing our blog! In the meantime, you can check out the website for FCI Morgantown (the Kennedy Center) here
